How to cancel an event booking
How to cancel a customer's event booking and the effects on their ticket status
What happens when you cancel a booking?
Canceling a booking voids all tickets in that booking. Voided tickets are automatically returned to the ticket availability. Canceling does not refund the booking unless you enable the refund option during cancellation.
How to cancel a booking
- Go to Orders → Event bookings from the left-side menu.
- Select the booking you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel booking from the right-side menu.
- In the cancellation pop-up:
- Enter a reason for cancellation (internal only, not shown to the customer).
- Enable or disable the Cancellation email to the customer.
- (Optional) Enable Refund and choose full or partial refund.
- Click Cancel booking.
After cancellation
- The booking status changes to Canceled in your reports.
- All tickets in the booking are marked as Canceled and Void under the Tickets tab.
- Voided tickets show as Void in the check-in app and are rejected when scanned with the QR code scanner.
Cancellation email
If enabled, the customer receives an email notifying them of the cancellation. The email includes a link to the customer portal where they can view their voided and active bookings.
