Setting when ticket sales start and stop

This article shows you how you can set when ticket sales start and stop.

You can set for when you'd like the event tickets to be on sale.

Example: You want to sell General Admission tickets after the Early Bird tickets sell out

The options are:

  • Now until event starts: the tickets are set to this by default and the sale ends on the event set date & time.
  • Always: this allows the tickets to be offered "forever".
  • Date & time: You can choose a specific start and end date & time that the tickets can be on sale for.
  • When another ticket sale ends: You can set for a ticket to be on sale when a previous ticket sale ends. The end date for the previous ticket becomes the start date for the current ticket.
  • When another ticket sells out: You can set for a ticket to be on sale when a previous ticket sells out. There is no set date & time for when the current ticket goes on sale.
  • When another ticket sells out or sale ends: The current ticket will go on sale when the previous ticket sale ends or is sold out. Whichever happens first.

Date & time

If you select Date & time, you can choose the specific date & time the ticket will be available. You can leave the start date & time blank and choose and end date & time if the ticket is available now until a certain date & time.

When the ticket is created, it will state the availability status and when the sale ends.

When another ticket sale ends

You can set for a subsequent ticket to be on sale when the previous ticket sale ends (ex. the General Admission tickets are offered after the Early Bird ticket sale ends).

You can do so by the following steps:

1. Click +Add ticket and input the ticket details

2. Choose "When another ticket sale ends" from Available from

3. This will prompt you to select the ticket for which the sale must end in order for the current ticket to be offered (ex. the Early bird ticket sale must end in order for the General admission tickets to be available). The sale end date for the chosen ticket is the start date for the new ticket.

4. If you wish, you can then select the end date for the current ticket

When the ticket is created, it will state the start and end date & time availability, and after which ticket sale end it will be offered. The ticket is also stated as "Scheduled" and not "On sale".

When another ticket sells out

You can set for a subsequent ticket to be on sale when the previous ticket sells out (ex. the General Admission tickets are offered after the Early Bird ticket sells out).

You can do so by the following steps:

1. Click +Add ticket and input the ticket details

2. Choose "When another ticket sells out" from Available from

3. This will prompt you to select the ticket for which must sell out in order for the current ticket to be offered (ex. the Early bird ticket sale must sell out in order for the General admission tickets to be available).

4. If you wish, you can then select the end date for the current ticket

When the ticket is created, it will state the start and end date & time availability, and after which sold out ticket it will be offered. The ticket is also stated as "Scheduled" and not "On sale".

When another ticket sale ends or sale ends

The ticket will go on sale when a previous ticket (such as the Early Bird ticket) is sold out or that ticket sale ends.

  • The sale start date will automatically populate to the early bird ticket sale end date, and this cannot be changed.
  • The sale end date will automatically populate to the event start date, but you can change this.
