Acceptable use policy
last updated: 16 May 2025
Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every customer of Checkout Page Technologies, Inc. (“Checkout Page”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Checkout Page platform you agree to comply with:
1. this AUP;
2. all applicable laws and regulations in each jurisdiction where you operate or serve customers; and
3. the acceptable-use and compliance policies of every payment processor you connect to your Checkout Page account (“payment partners”).
Failure to follow any of the above can result in transaction holds, account suspension, or termination without notice.
Prohibited activities
You may not use Checkout Page for any activity that:
1. Violates law or facilitates harm – selling illegal goods, promoting violence or discrimination, fraud, money-laundering, or terrorist financing.
2. Involves high-risk or illegal products, including:
- controlled substances or drug paraphernalia;
- counterfeit or infringing goods;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, or disguised weapons;
- pornography, prostitution, sexually oriented dating services;
- gambling, lotteries, sweepstakes with a material prize;
- pyramid or “get rich quick” schemes;
- stolen or hacked digital items.
3. Circumvents payment rules – e.g., card-testing, using our platform principally as a virtual terminal, or processing payments for undisclosed third parties.
4. Involves sanctioned persons or jurisdictions – any dealings with Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, or individuals on U.S./U.K./E.U./U.N. sanctions lists.

- High-value items: dealers in precious metals, stones, or luxury watches
Approval can be withdrawn at any time if risk levels change.
Merchant responsibilities
• Accurate disclosure – Clearly describe your products, pricing, refund policy, and delivery terms on every checkout.
• Data protection – Collect personal and payment data only through Checkout Page’s secure forms; never via email, chat, or plain text.
• Know-your-business – Keep your legal entity, beneficial-owner, and contact details up to date and supply additional documentation upon request.
• Partner compliance – Review and follow each payment partner’s AUP and any card-network rules that apply to your transactions.
Enforcement
Checkout Page continuously monitors activity. We may refuse, reverse, or hold transactions; request further information; suspend or close accounts; or report activity to payment partners and regulators where legally required.
Reporting violations
If you believe this AUP is being violated, email compliance@checkoutpage.com with details and supporting evidence.
