Stan Store gives creators a storefront they can share through their social media bio. It brings courses, bookings and community features together in one place. Stan charges a monthly plan fee but takes no cut of your sales.
Your monthly cost depends on which features you need, as well as the processing fees on each sale. Some common selling tools, including discount codes and payment plans, are only available on the more expensive plan.
This guide covers both Stan Store plans, the extra fees and what Stan Store costs at three levels of monthly sales, so you can compare it with other ways to sell digital products.
Quick answer: Stan Store has two plans. Creator costs $29 a month or $300 a year, and Creator Pro costs $99 a month or $948 a year. There's a 14-day free trial but no free plan. Stan charges 0% in transaction fees. Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 on each US card payment, and a cash-out fee of 0.25% + $0.25 applies each time you withdraw your balance. Discount codes, payment plans and order bumps are only included on Creator Pro.
How much does Stan Store cost?
Stan Store costs $29 a month on the Creator plan or $99 a month on Creator Pro. Paying for a year up front lowers the price of both.
Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Annual, per month |
|---|---|---|---|
Creator | $29/mo | $300/yr | $25/mo |
Creator Pro | $99/mo | $948/yr | $79/mo |
Prices from Stan's pricing article (updated July 22, 2026) and help center, checked October 31, 2026. US dollars.
Both plans start with a 14-day free trial. There's no free plan. Stan's help center also mentions free accounts for affiliates, but these don't include a store.
Stan doesn't add a transaction fee on either plan. You still pay payment processing fees on each sale and a separate fee each time you cash out. Both are explained in the fees section below.
Creator vs Creator Pro: what each plan includes
Stan Store's two pricing plans are Creator and Creator Pro. For $29 a month, the Creator plan includes:
- a storefront that works on mobile and desktop
- calendar and booking tools
- an unlimited course builder, with course analytics
- recurring subscriptions
- lead magnets (something free offered in exchange for an email address) and email collection
- community features
- Stan AutoDM, which replies to Instagram messages automatically
- store and product analytics
Creator Pro adds tools for selling more to each buyer and marketing to your list. On Creator Pro, you can:
- offer discount codes or limited-quantity offers
- add upsells and order bumps, which let a buyer add an extra item at checkout
- let buyers pay in installments through payment plans, Afterpay or Klarna
- build funnels (a sequence of pages that leads to a purchase) and run an affiliate program
- import contacts and send email broadcasts and automated email flows
- add Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok pixels, the tracking code ad platforms use to record visits
If you don't need these features yet, Creator costs less to start with, and you can move up later if you need them. The difference is $70 more a month with monthly billing, or $648 more a year with annual billing.
Stan Store fees on top of the plans
Every sale on Stan goes through a payment processor, which charges its own fee. Stan's help center lists the fees for Stripe and PayPal. Buy now, pay later options such as Afterpay and Klarna cost more. The following figures are for US sellers using Stripe, starting with its standard processing fees:
Fee | Rate (US) |
|---|---|
Card payment | 2.9% + $0.30 |
Customer in another country | +1.5% |
Afterpay | 6% + $0.30 |
Klarna | 5.99% + $0.30 |
Recurring payments | +0.5% |
Currency conversion | +1% |
Each cash-out | 0.25% + $0.25 (min. $1) |
Rates from Stan's help center article on Stan, Stripe and PayPal fees (updated September 23, 2026), checked October 31, 2026. US accounts.
PayPal charges 3.49% plus a fixed fee that depends on the currency. In the UK, Stripe charges 1.5% + £0.20 per card payment, plus 1.75% for customers in another country.
The cash-out fee. You pay 0.25% + $0.25 each time you move money from Stan to your bank, with a $1 minimum. Cashing out $250 costs $1, and cashing out $5,000 costs $12.75. Any cash-out under $300 costs the $1 minimum, so cashing out less often saves a little.
The recurring fee. Recurring payments, such as subscriptions, carry an extra 0.5% on top of the card fee.
How Stan Store pays you
You cash out from the Income tab in Stan, and the money reaches your bank within 24 to 48 hours. Stan's help center sets out the rules:
- Minimum: your available balance needs to be at least $10.
- Whole balance only: you can't cash out part of it.
- Processing time: in the US, a sale takes 2 to 7 business days to become available (Stan says it's usually closer to 2). For creators outside the US, it can take up to 7 business days.
- Instant payouts: these are US only and need a Stan account at least 30 days old, an eligible bank account and $2,000 already cashed out the regular way. Stripe can still decline to switch them on.
What Stan Store costs at $1K, $5K and $20K a month
On the Creator plan, the $29 monthly fee accounts for almost half the total cost at $1,000 in sales. At $20,000 in monthly sales, it accounts for less than 4%, with card fees making up most of the total.
Monthly sales | Creator | % of sales | Creator Pro | % of sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|
$1,000 | $68 | 6.8% | $138 | 13.8% |
$5,000 | $217 | 4.3% | $287 | 5.7% |
$20,000 | $778 | 3.9% | $848 | 4.2% |
Monthly billing, a $50 average sale, US cards at 2.9% + $0.30, and four equal cash-outs a month at 0.25% + $0.25 each ($1 minimum), calculated on the balance after card fees. Excludes international cards, currency conversion and recurring fees. Rounded to the nearest dollar.
At $5,000 a month on Creator, the $217 breaks down like this:
- Card fees: about $175
- Cash-out fees: about $13
- Stan's plan: $29
Paying annually lowers each total by $4 a month on Creator and $20 a month on Creator Pro.
Calculate your Stripe feesYour Stripe account and store URL on Stan Store
When you set up payments, Stan's help center says you'll create a new Stripe account managed by Stan (which it calls a Stripe Custom account). You can't connect an existing Stripe account.
Because Stan manages the account, you can't log in to Stripe directly. You manage payments under Settings > Payments in Stan, and you cash out from Stan rather than from Stripe.
Your store address is fixed too. Your URL is always stan.store followed by your username. You can change the username, but you can't move the store to your own domain.
Is Stan Store worth the price?
Whether Stan Store is worth it depends on what you sell, which features you need, where your buyers come from and who you'd like to hold the payment account.
What you're selling. Creator includes courses, bookings, recurring subscriptions and community features for $29 a month, so if you sell those to an audience on social media, the cheaper plan covers them.
Which features you need. If you want discount codes, payment plans or order bumps, the price you're comparing is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually.
Where your buyers find you. Your Stan store sits at a stan.store address that you share with buyers. If most of your buyers come from your own website or email list, consider how much of the storefront, bookings and community tools you'd use alongside your own site.
Who holds the account and the address. If you'd rather keep your own Stripe account and domain, you'd need a tool that lets you connect both.
Alternatives to Stan Store
Marketplaces such as Gumroad take a percentage of each sale instead of a monthly fee (see our breakdown of Gumroad fees). Checkout tools let you sell from your own pages, and our guide to the best platforms to sell digital products compares the main options.
With Checkout Page, you can embed checkout pages on your own website or share them as hosted pages and payment links, including in your bio. Payments go into your own Stripe account, and you stay the merchant of record, the business legally responsible for each sale. Checkout Page doesn't include a link-in-bio storefront or Instagram auto-replies, both of which Stan offers on the Creator plan.
Checkout Page charges 0% per transaction fees, and discount codes, payment plans and order bumps are included on every plan, including Free. Stripe's pricing page lists standard payouts to your own bank account as free.

The Free plan covers up to $3,000 in monthly sales and shows Checkout Page branding. Launch removes the branding for $24 a month billed annually, and Scale starts at $83 a month billed annually for up to $10,000 in monthly sales. The full list of features is on the Checkout Page pricing page.
Using the same assumptions as the Stan table and monthly billing, Checkout Page costs about $35 at $1,000 in monthly sales on the Free plan. At $5,000, Scale costs $274, between Stan's two plans. At $20,000, the Scale $20,000 tier costs $869, more than either Stan plan. Scale adds a custom domain, one-click upsells and cart recovery emails. Your own Stripe account is included on every plan.

Does Stan Store have a free plan?
No, Stan Store doesn't have a free plan. The Stan Store free trial lasts 14 days on either plan, and after that you pay $29 or $99 a month, or $300 or $948 a year. If you'd like to start selling without a monthly fee, you'd need a marketplace or a checkout tool with a free plan instead.
How much does it cost to sell on Stan Store?
It costs the plan price plus payment processing and cash-out fees. On a $50 sale in the US, Stripe takes $1.75, and each cash-out adds 0.25% + $0.25. With $5,000 in monthly sales of $50 products on the Creator plan, billed monthly, the total comes to about $217, or 4.3% of sales.
Does Stan Store take a percentage of sales?

What's better than Stan Store?
A checkout tool such as Checkout Page may suit you better if you want discount codes or payment plans without paying $99 a month, or your own Stripe account and domain. A marketplace such as Gumroad may suit you better if you'd rather pay per sale than per month. Our Stan Store alternatives guide compares seven options.
