Kajabi brings everything you need to run an online business into one place. You can build your website, grow your email list, sell courses, run a community and take payments, all through a single subscription. For creators selling courses, coaching or memberships, it's a convenient way to manage everything without juggling lots of different tools.
But how much does Kajabi actually cost? While Kajabi advertises "0% revenue share", meaning it doesn't take a percentage of your sales, there are still other fees to consider. Your monthly costs will depend on the plan you choose, how you accept payments and whether you offer subscriptions or payment plans.
In this guide, we'll break down Kajabi's three pricing plans, explain the extra fees and show what you can expect to pay at different sales levels. We'll also explore whether you really need to move your entire business to another platform to save money, or whether switching just your checkout to a Kajabi alternative like Checkout Page could be a simpler option.
Quick answer: Kajabi has three plans. Basic costs $143 a month, Growth $199 and Pro $399 with annual billing, or $179, $249 and $499 with monthly billing. There's a 14-day free trial but no free plan. Kajabi takes no share of your revenue. Kajabi Payments charges 2.9%, 2.8% or 2.7% plus 30 cents per card sale depending on the plan, subscriptions and payment plans add 0.7%, and using your own payment processor adds 2%, 1% or 0.5%.
How much does Kajabi cost?
Kajabi costs $143, $199 or $399 a month when you're billed annually, which is the price Kajabi shows first. Paying monthly costs about 25% more.
Plan | Annual, per month | Billed monthly | Annual total |
|---|---|---|---|
Basic | $143 | $179 | $1,716 |
Growth | $199 | $249 | $2,388 |
Pro | $399 | $499 | $4,788 |

There's no Kajabi free plan, only the 14-day free trial. Kajabi also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
"0% revenue share" means Kajabi doesn't take a percentage of your sales in addition to the subscription fee. Card processing fees still apply to every sale, and the rate depends on your plan.
Older articles list a Kickstarter plan at $89 a month. It isn't on the pricing page now, which lists only Basic, Growth and Pro.
Kajabi pricing plans: what Basic, Growth and Pro include
The three Kajabi pricing plans have different limits, and Growth and Pro add features too. Every plan includes unlimited marketing emails, landing pages, funnels and access groups.
Limit | Basic | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
Products | 5 | 50 | Unlimited |
Contacts | 2,500 | 25,000 | 100,000 |
Websites | 1 | 1 | 3 |
Communities | 1 | 1 | 3 |
Admin users | 2 | 11 | 26 |
From the comparison table on kajabi.com/pricing, checked October 31, 2026.
Kajabi defines a product as a published product used to generate revenue. An online course, coaching program, newsletter, podcast or download each count as one.
Growth adds live cohort courses, advanced automations, your own affiliate program, comment to DM and no Kajabi branding anywhere. It also lowers the Kajabi Payments card rate.
Pro adds a branded mobile app in the App Store, which Kajabi values at $199 a month on its own, along with unlimited products, dedicated support and the lowest card rate.
Extras on any plan. More contacts come in blocks of 25,000 for $125 a month. AI credits are 0, 500 and 1,000 a month by plan, and 500 more cost $15 a month.

From Kajabi's help center article on US Kajabi Payments fees and the pricing page, checked October 31, 2026. Refunds have no fee, but the original fees aren't returned.
The recurring fee. Every payment on a subscription or payment plan, including the first, is charged an extra 0.7% on top of the card rate. Stripe charges 0.7% for Stripe Billing as well, so the rate is in line with what recurring payments on Stripe cost to process.
The own-processor fee. If you connect Stripe or another processor directly instead of using Kajabi Payments, Kajabi adds 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro to each sale, on top of that processor's own fees. PayPal is exempt.
The fee only applies where Kajabi Payments is offered, which Kajabi lists as the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, the UAE and some European countries. Elsewhere there's no surcharge.
Basic has the same Kajabi Payments card rate as Stripe's standard processing fees of 2.9% plus 30 cents. Growth and Pro have slightly lower rates. A chargeback costs $15 with both.
What Kajabi costs at $2K, $10K and $50K a month
The table shows the total for each plan at three levels of monthly sales, including Kajabi Payments card fees, with the total as a share of sales in brackets.
Monthly sales | Basic | Growth | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
$2,000 | $240 (12.0%) | $308 (15.4%) | $556 (27.8%) |
$10,000 | $484 (4.8%) | $544 (5.4%) | $784 (7.8%) |
$50,000 | $1,704 (3.4%) | $1,724 (3.4%) | $1,924 (3.8%) |
Monthly billing, a $200 average sale, one-time payments, US cards through Kajabi Payments at each plan's rate. Excludes international cards, recurring fees and the own-processor fee. Percentages rounded to one decimal.
At $2,000 a month, the plan price accounts for most of the Basic total: $179 out of $240. At $50,000 a month, it accounts for about a tenth.
The extra fees raise these totals. At $10,000 a month on Basic, taking payments through your own Stripe account adds $200. If all of that $10,000 is subscriptions, the recurring fee adds $70.
At $50,000 in monthly sales, Growth costs only $20 more than Basic. Its lower card rate saves $50 a month at that sales level. Basic's limits of 5 products and 2,500 contacts may be the reason to move up before sales get that high.
Which Kajabi plan should you choose?
The plans differ in limits, branding and a handful of features, so the plan you need depends on four things.
How many products you publish. Basic allows 5, Growth 50 and Pro unlimited, counting every course, coaching offer, newsletter, podcast and download.
How big your list is. Basic includes 2,500 contacts, Growth 25,000 and Pro 100,000. A list a little over 2,500 may cost less on Growth than on Basic with an extra block of contacts. From Growth to Pro, the extra block at $125 a month is the cheaper way to add contacts.
Whether you want Kajabi's branding gone or an affiliate program. Both need Growth. So do live cohort courses and advanced automations.
Whether you want your own app. The branded App Store app is on Pro only. If you don't need it, Pro's other additions are unlimited products, dedicated support and a card rate 0.1% lower than Growth's.
When Kajabi is worth the price
Whether Kajabi is worth $143 a month or more depends on how much of the bundle you'd use and how much of your revenue comes from recurring payments.
How much of the bundle you'd use. Kajabi says that, priced piece by piece, it works out cheaper than a separate website, email tool, community and checkout from a few thousand contacts up. Its pricing page FAQ also says that if you're only looking for a course delivery platform, it is expensive. So the question is whether you'd otherwise pay for each of those tools, or already have most of them.
How much of your revenue repeats. Subscriptions and payment plans pay the 0.7% fee above on every payment. If all of your $10,000 a month is recurring, that's $70 on top of the card fees.
Alternatives to Kajabi
If you want to replace the whole platform, Teachable, Thinkific and Podia are other all-in-one course platforms, and our guide to Kajabi alternatives compares eleven of them. If you're happy with how you host courses and only want to change how you take payments, a checkout tool can cost less.
With Checkout Page, you build checkout pages for your courses, coaching and memberships and take the payment in your own Stripe account. You're the merchant of record, so the money goes to you directly. Payment plans, subscriptions and one-time prices are included on every plan, including Free.
Checkout Page charges 0% per transaction fees. Stripe's own fees still apply, and subscriptions through Stripe Billing add 0.7%, the same rate as Kajabi's recurring fee.
Checkout Page doesn't include a course platform, an email list or a community. After payment, the buyer gets a login link for the course platform or members area you already use, in the confirmation message and email. You can also add a Checkout Page checkout to a Kajabi site if you want to keep Kajabi for everything else.
On the same assumptions as the Kajabi table, with monthly billing, Checkout Page comes to:
- $2,000 a month: about $61 on the Free plan, which covers sales up to $3,000 and shows Checkout Page branding
- $10,000 a month: $404 on Scale, at $99 plus $305 in Stripe fees
- $50,000 a month: $1,824 on Scale's $50,000 tier, at $299 plus $1,525 in Stripe fees
Those totals cover the checkout only, without the course platform, email or community. The full plan list is on the Checkout Page pricing page.

Kajabi pricing FAQ
Is Kajabi free to use?
No, Kajabi doesn't have a free plan. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and Kajabi offers a 30-day money-back guarantee once you're paying. After the trial, the cheapest plan is Basic at $143 a month billed annually, or $179 a month if you'd rather pay monthly and keep the option to stop.
Does Kajabi charge transaction fees?
Yes, though not as a share of your sales. Kajabi takes no cut of your revenue, but Kajabi Payments charges 2.9%, 2.8% or 2.7% plus 30 cents per card sale by plan. Subscriptions and payment plans add 0.7%, and using your own processor adds 2%, 1% or 0.5% where Kajabi Payments is offered.
Is Kajabi worth the price?
It depends on how much of Kajabi you'd use. Kajabi says that if it replaces your website, email tool, course platform, community and checkout, one subscription costs less than paying for each. If you already have most of those and mainly want to take payments, the cost table above shows what Kajabi comes to at three sales levels.
What is a cheaper alternative to Kajabi?
That depends on what you want to replace. Teachable, Thinkific and Podia are other all-in-one course platforms, and our Kajabi alternatives guide compares eleven options on price. If you only want a cheaper way to take payments, Checkout Page starts with a Free plan for up to $3,000 in monthly sales, with 0% per transaction fees.
