Add VAT or sales tax to any checkout

You can now create fixed tax rates and apply them to any checkout page or event.

Set the rate once in Store settings, name it what your customers expect (VAT, GST, Sales Tax), and choose whether it is included in your price or added on top. Make it your store default and every new checkout and event picks it up.

Fixed tax is for sellers who charge the same rate to everyone, usually because they sell in a single country.

If you are registered in several countries and need tax calculated per customer location, Stripe Tax is still there, and you choose which one to use on each checkout page or event.

With fixed tax, you can:

• Create unlimited tax rates, inclusive or exclusive
• Set a store default and override it per checkout or event
• Charge tax on one-time payments and subscriptions
• Show the tax by name and percentage on every invoice
• Skip Stripe Tax setup, tax registrations and per-order fees

Open Store settings, add your rate, and apply it on any checkout page.
