Question 1

Is it free to sell tickets on RSVPify?

Accepted Answer

Mostly, yes, and it is worth being precise about it. Selling tickets on RSVPify costs $0 a month with no plan upgrade required. Any event that sells tickets is upgraded to their Professional plan for free. You pay 1.95% + $0.90 per ticket, and Stripe's processing fees are separate and charged on top.

The catch is not the ticket fee, it is what counts as a ticket. If 20% or more of your expected registrants pay offline or receive complimentary tickets, RSVPify requires a paid subscription, and the plan you need is set by how many of those registrations you expect. That is a real cost for a gala with a lot of comped seats or a fundraiser where half the room pays by check: the free path assumes most of your guests pay by card, through RSVPify.

Should everyone switch from RSVPify?

Accepted Answer

No. RSVPify is very good at the thing it was built for, and that thing is not selling. If you need seating charts and table assignments, designed invitations and save the dates, RSVP etiquette with +1 control, meal and dietary collection, Table Captains or sub-events, stay. Those are real features we do not have, and no amount of pricing math replaces them. Their check-in suite goes further than ours too, with badge printing and a self check-in kiosk, and they sync natively to Salesforce and HubSpot.

If your free events lean on those RSVP features, the invitations, the +1s, the seating, stay. That is the job RSVPify was built for. But if a free event just needs signups, a few questions and check-in at the door, our event registration does that on the Free plan, and free registrations add nothing to the $3K.

Switch when you are selling, and when you sell more than events. A per-ticket fee that never stops scaling, no memberships and no way to deliver a file are what push people to look, and all three get worse the more you sell.

Can I run a membership on RSVPify?

Not natively. RSVPify has no membership product and no recurring billing, so members are a question on your event form that guests answer about themselves. Asked on their community forum how to charge a membership fee and then offer member pricing, RSVPify's own answer was a workaround built from a secondary event and conditional custom questions. Nothing checks whether the person ticking "member" actually paid.

Their documented answer for recurring charges is to leave RSVPify entirely: register the guest, then open the Stripe dashboard, create a product, find the customer by email and build the subscription by hand, one guest at a time. Checkout Page memberships bill automatically on a card on file, with payment plans and paid trials and a self-serve customer portal where members update cards and cancel without emailing you.

Is Checkout Page free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, up to $3K in sales per month. The Free plan has no monthly fee and no card required; you only pay Stripe's standard processing fees. You get unlimited checkout, event and form pages, and your pages show Checkout Page branding.

Launch is $29/mo ($24/mo billed yearly) and removes the branding at the same $3K of monthly sales. To sell beyond $3K a month, volume-based plans start at $99/mo ($83/mo billed yearly).

What can you sell with Checkout Page?

Within minutes, and without any technical know-how, you can sell almost anything:

Question 6

How do I switch from RSVPify to Checkout Page?

Accepted Answer

Recreate your events as event pages with their ticket tiers, connect the same Stripe account you already use, and update the registration links on your website and in your emails. Your payment processor does not change, so there is nothing to migrate on the money side.
