Check in guests to your events with the ticket scanner
Use the ticket scanner to search guests, scan QR codes, check guests in or out, and view check-in history.
What is the ticket scanner?
The ticket scanner records which guests have arrived at your event.
You can:
- Scan tickets using QR codes
- Search for guests manually
- Check guests in or out
- View check-in history

Open the ticket scanner
To open the ticket scanner:
- Open your event
- Click Check in guests
- Select Open scanner
The ticket scanner opens in a new tab.
The ticket scanner works on desktop and mobile devices.
Search for guests
Use the search bar to search by:
- Guest name
- Email address
- Ticket code
- Order ID
Each ticket has a unique ticket code, even if multiple tickets were purchased in the same order.
Check in guests manually
To manually check in or check out a guest:
- Find the guest in the guest list
- Open the guest details
- Click Check in or Check out
Scan QR codes
To scan a ticket QR code:
- Click the QR scanner icon
- Scan the QR code from the guest’s ticket email or customer portal
- Click Check in or Check out
View check-in history
To view check-in history:
- Open the Checked in tab
- Select a guest
- Click Show history
The history shows:
- Check-in and check-out activity
- Date and time
- Manual or QR check-in method
- Which staff member performed the action
Test guest check-ins
To test the ticket scanner:
- Open Make test payment
- Click Test check in guests
This opens a test environment where you and your team can practice checking in guests.
Internet connection
The ticket scanner requires an internet connection to search guests, scan tickets, and sync check-in activity.
We recommend testing the internet connection at your venue before your event begins.
Frequently asked questions
What if a guest’s ticket will not scan?
If a QR code will not scan, you can still manually search for the guest using:
- Guest name
- Email address
- Ticket code
- Order ID
You can then manually check the guest in from the guest details screen.
Can multiple staff members scan tickets at the same time?
Yes. Multiple staff members can use the ticket scanner at the same time across different devices and entrances.
Check-in activity syncs in real time across the event.
What happens if someone tries to use the same ticket twice?
Each ticket can only be checked in once at a time.
If a ticket has already been checked in, the ticket scanner will show that the ticket was previously used.
Organizers and staff members can also view check-in history, including:
- Date and time
- Check-in method
- Which staff member performed the check-in
Can guests share screenshots of ticket QR codes?
Each ticket uses a unique ticket code and QR code.
If the same ticket is scanned again after being checked in, the ticket scanner will show that the ticket has already been used.
Can guests leave and re-enter the event?
Yes. Guests can be checked out and checked back in again later.
This is useful for events that allow re-entry.
Can I see live check-in numbers during my event?
The ticket scanner shows:
- Total guests
- Number of checked-in guests
- Guest check-in activity in real time
