How to add a setup fee

What is a setup fee?

A setup fee is a one-time charge applied once to a subscription or payment plan. Use setup fees to recover onboarding or activation costs.

How to add a setup fee

1. Go to Pages → Create Page → Checkout.
2. Check Setup fee.
3. Enter the fee amount.
4. Click Create checkout.

The setup fee is added on top of the product price. The customer sees both amounts at checkout.

Example: A gym membership costs $50/month. New members pay a $25 setup fee for key fob activation and account registration. The first payment is $75, and all following payments are $50/month.
