Naming your prices
How to label, describe and highlight a price so customers know which to pick
Available on: every price.
Why name a price?
With one price, the product title says everything. With two or more, the customer has to choose — and three amounts with no names don't tell them what they're choosing between.
Each price can carry a label, a description and a highlight.
| Field | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Label | Names the price, above the amount — Starter, Pro, Pay monthly |
| Description | A line of detail below the amount |
| Highlight | A short badge above the product title — Most popular, 20% OFF |
All three are optional, and all three are set per price. A label doesn't replace the amount — the price card carries both, with the description underneath.
How to name a price
- Go to Storefront → Checkout pages.
- Open the checkout you want to edit.
- Go to Product → Details.
- Click the price you want to name.
- Enter a Label, a Description, or a Highlight.
- Click Save.
Renaming a pay-what-you-want price
The heading above the amount field reads Pay what you want by default. Set a Label to change it — to Pay what you can, Name your price, or Donation amount.
