Subscription paid trial

What is a paid trial?

Set up a paid trial period before the main subscription starts. Customers pay an amount for the trial and then transition to regular billing.

How to add a paid trial

1. Go to Pages and open the checkout you want to edit.
2. Under Product, check Paid trial.
3. Enter the number of trial days.
4. Enter the trial price in the Setup fee field.
5. Click Save.

To rename the "Setup fee" label on the checkout:

1. Go to Design → Custom labels.
2. Scroll to Setup fee and enter a new label.
3. Click Save.

How to change the trial length after purchase

Trial dates can be extended or shortened from your Stripe account.

1. Go to Orders → Subscriptions and open the subscription.
2. Click View Stripe from the right-side menu.
3. In Stripe, click Actions → Update subscription.
4. Scroll to Free trial days and edit the value.
