How to create an event
Step-by-step process for creating an event, including setup, configuration, and publishing options
Setting up your event
- Go to Pages → Create page → Event.
- Enter an Event name.
- (Optional) Set a Start date and time and End date and time.
- (Optional) Set a Max. capacity.
- Select an Attendance type: In person, Virtual, or Hybrid.
- Set the Event sales status.
- Select a Currency.
- Click Continue.
The only required fields are Event name and Currency.
How to add ticket types
After creating the event, add at least one ticket type.
- Enter a Ticket type name.
- (Optional) Add a short description and image (recommended 256×256px).
- Select Paid or Free. For paid tickets, enter a price.
- (Optional) Set the Available quantity.
- (Optional) Open Additional settings to configure min/max purchase quantity, display options, and visibility.
Repeat for each ticket type. There is no limit to the number of ticket types.
How to organize tickets into groups
Ticket types are contained within ticket groups. By default, every event has one group called "Ticket types".
When adding a ticket group, you can configure:
- Group capacity — the maximum tickets sold within the group.
- Ticket selection — how guests select tickets: quantity select, multiple select, or single select.
- Visibility — hide the group, hide when sold out, hide when scheduled, or hide when unavailable.
- Layout — list or grid, alignment, spacing, and image size.
How to test your event
- Click Make test payment from the event page editor.
- Select ticket types and complete the checkout using test card details.
- Check the booking confirmation message and email.
Test bookings do not count towards ticket availability.
