What is Checkout protection?

Checkout protection lets you block specific email addresses from completing any checkout, event, or form page in your store.

Use it when you no longer want to accept new purchases, bookings, or submissions from a particular customer.

Blocking an email applies across your entire store, including any new pages you create.

Existing payments, bookings, submissions, and subscriptions are not affected.

Existing subscriptions continue to renew.

How to block an email

1. Go to Store settings → Checkout protection.
2. Click Block email.
3. Enter the email address you want to block.
4. Optionally, add a reason for blocking the email. This is only visible to you and your team.
5. Click Block email.

You can also block an existing customer from their customer page. Open the customer, click the ••• menu next to their details, and select Block email.

What happens when a blocked customer tries again?

The block is checked when the customer clicks Pay or Submit.

They won't be able to complete the page and will see a message asking them to contact your support email. We don't tell them that their email address has been blocked.

Each attempt is recorded under Store settings → Checkout protection, where you can see the total number of attempts and the most recent attempt.

Managing blocked emails

From Store settings → Checkout protection, you can:

• View the customer
• Edit the reason for blocking them
• Unblock the email
• See who blocked the email and when
• See how many times the email has attempted to complete a page

Use the Blocked / Unblocked filter to view previously unblocked emails. You can block an email again at any time.

Blocked customers also show a Blocked label in the Customers list.

How to unblock an email

1. Go to Store settings → Checkout protection.
2. Find the email you want to unblock.
3. Click the ••• menu.
4. Select Unblock email.

You can also unblock an email directly from the customer's page.

Checkout protection is available on all plans.
