Bulk discounts for event tickets

Checkout Page makes it possible to apply bulk discounts to tickets, depending on the quantity ordered.

Bulk discounts make it possible to:

1. Apply a % discount when a customer orders more than X number of tickets
2. Set discount thresholds, for example:

• 10% discount when ordering more than 3 tickets
• 20% discount when ordering more than 10 tickets

3. Apply discounts up to a maximum number of tickets, for example:

• 20% discount when ordering 5-10 tickets
• No discount when ordering 11 or more tickets

Please note: Bulk discounts are currently only available for one-time checkout pages and event pages.

Setting up discount rules

Total quantity

Follow these steps to enable bulk discounts on the tickets:

1. From your dashboard, select Pages on the left-side menu, and click on your event page
2. Go to the Bulk discounts tab on the left-side menu

3. Click + Add discount rule

4. Select All tickets and input the following:

• Min. quantity: the quantity from which the discount is applied
• Max. quantity: the quantity until which the discount is applied
• Discount: Percentage discount or Fixed amount to apply

5. Enter your preferences and Save the changes

Per ticket type

If you have multiple ticket types on your page, you can apply bulk discounts to a specific one (or few). The discount will only be applied to the chosen ticket type(s) and per each selected number of tickets.

1. Select Per ticket type and input the following:

• Min. quantity: the quantity from which the discount is applied
• Max. quantity: the quantity until which the discount is applied
• Discount: Percentage discount or Fixed amount to apply

2. Enter your preferences and Save the changes

3. The original ticket price will have a strike-through, revealing the discounted price per ticket type that the bulk discount is applied to. The calculations is shown both underneath the ticket selection and in the price breakdown at the bottom of the checkout.

As shown in the screenshot, the 10% off bulk discount is only applied to the ticket type "General Admission", and is now $135 (from $150) per ticket selected.

Adding multiple discount rules

You can add multiple discount rules to add different discounts for different ticket order quantities. We automatically apply the discount rule for the highest Min. quantity.

Communicating discounts to your customers

Currently, applied discounts are communicated by updating the price underneath the ticket selection and in the price breakdown at the bottom of the checkout.

If you wish to communicate available discounts to your customers, we recommend adding your discount rules to the product Description.
