Accept payments with card and Apple Pay and Google Pay
How to accept card payments and enable Apple Pay and Google Pay
What are Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Apple Pay and Google Pay let customers pay using their digital wallet without entering card details manually. Both are enabled on all new checkouts by default.
Customers who do not have Apple Pay or Google Pay set up on their device will not see these options at checkout.
How to enable or disable Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Go to Pages and open the checkout you want to edit.
- Go to Checkout → Payment methods.
- Select or deselect Accept payments with card & Apple / Google Pay.
Globally (all checkouts): Go to Store settings → Payments and enable or disable the option.
Apple Pay and Google Pay cannot be enabled individually — they are always toggled together. Card payments must remain enabled; you cannot accept only Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Payment method vs Express Checkout
When enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay, choose how they are displayed:
- Use as a payment method — displayed above the card field. Captures all completed checkout fields before payment.
- Use as express checkout — displayed above the checkout fields. Automatically collects name and email, skipping incomplete fields.
Things to note
Apple Pay on Safari is not supported on Wix because Wix wraps embedded scripts in an iframe.
